FAST is an ICON research project funded and supported by Vlaio and imec. FAST aims to create an engine to automatically generate customer journeys from existing unstructured content for a full range of administrative tasks.
Citizens engaging with government processes encounter many different tools, UI’s, webforms and administrative levels. Customer journeys could be vastly simplified through electronic and automated administrative processes and services. Yet most municipalities find these tools difficult to implement, causing them to score poorly on European benchmarks.
FAST gathers experts in UX, UI, natural language processing and data linking to develop a rapid approach to e-government implementation in municipalities. Together, the consortium optimises existing customer journeys through data linking and public data, and uses them as models for new customer journeys. A flexible library of UI elements allows for the generation of customer journeys and usage monitoring. Based on the actual usage we can further optimise the customer journeys for every individual.
FAST is an ICON research project which started in June 2018 and continues for two years. We are currently looking for additional members of the user group who are interested in running a pilot with our technology, both in government and industry. Make sure to contact us if you’re interested in joining the user group.
FAST has a dedicated website where you can follow the latest developments of the project: http://project-fast.org/
